Through media such as TV and radio we can share important messages astonishingly quickly and widely. If you’re looking for someone to talk or write about a subject related to human health or performance, I’d love to help, so please get in touch. Below is some of the media work I’ve done to date, plus some additional resources.

My work on TV and radio

I had a great time recording the above episode of Channel 4’s How to Lose Weight Well. We got into the relationship between sleep, diet, and weight loss, doing a mini experiment of the effects of sleep loss on food intake in young women.

I’ve also spoken about my research on the BBC World Service, BBC Radio Leeds, and BBC Radio 5 Live. I’ve also been on the radio in the US.

My research has been featured by many media outlets

My academic research on sleep and nutrition has been featured in dozens of international media outlets, including Reuters, TIME, and The Washington Post. Some of these are shown below.

I have contributed to various newspaper and magazine articles

I regularly contribute to various newspapers, magazines, and websites, such as the Daily Mail, the Express, the Metro, Newsweek, Stylist Magazine, Good to Know, Woman and Home, and Healthline.

Talks

I love giving talks about how we can live better through simple lifestyle changes. A few of these are freely available online, including this talk about how to use an understanding of your body’s clock to optimise your day.

Online courses

I’ve made short courses about health for a few websites. For example, at humanOS you’ll find courses on the importance of circadian rhythms and physical activity.

Podcasts

I enjoy podcasts and have been a guest on nearly 100 podcast episodes. I’m often asked to speak about sleep, circadian rhythms, and nutrition, but I enjoy discussing other subjects too! Here are a few I’ve particularly enjoyed:

E-book and blogs

I wrote a free e-book about the principles of healthy eating you should live by, whether you’re young, old, a vegan, or an omnivore. You can download it here.

Over the years, I’ve written blogs for many websites too. My early blogs on websites such as The Glute Guy, Just Fly Sports, T-Nation, and EliteFTS tended to focus on exercise training for athletes, but my more recent blogs for sites such as humanOS, Resilient Nutrition, and Nourish Balance Thrive have covered other subjects such as sleep, nutrition, meditation, and how to enhance performance at work.
